Herb Folk Design

Being a part of the Black Lives Matter mural had put my name out there and the owner of a local small business called Herb Folk had contacted me. I was commissioned to create inked pieces matching the atmosphere of the herb shop so that the owner could use them for her product labels. This was such a lovely project to work on and be a part of!

I used an ink brush pen to create these drawings and then scanned them to clean up any small imperfections. While I love how they turned out, I wish I could create more designs for this shop because since I am writing this in 2024, I have improved a lot more since I worked on this commission. If I could re-do these now, I would have transferred these images to my tablet and used them as references to redraw cleaner digital line work. But, if I did that it would take away from Herb Folk’s style of traditional Asian aesthetics.
